This is our first time raising pigs and is a learning experience.
We bought four feeder pigs in April as soon as they were weaned. When we brought them home we could fit all four into one large dog kennel for the long drive to our farm.
We decided to start with feeder pigs, putting off getting breeding hogs until we have gained some experience. These little guys, all males, are expected to grow to weigh about 200 pounds each.
Now, each one would barely fit into the same kennel by itself. They are such sweet animals it will be difficult to part with them. But, they are having a good, happy life in the meantime.
