Here come the boys…..

Whenever Nick calls out “here boys!” they all start running to him… not for food, but to get their heads scratched.

The dogs nap most of the day, and stay up all night guarding and playing together. They guard the pigs and chickens.

We have left the hustle and bustle and moved to an abandoned farm in a quiet, rural town in southern Virginia. Our little off-grid homestead is starting from scratch, so come by once in a while to visit and see how it develops. Along the way we will be learning to raise our food in this area of clay soil, raise our own food, and build our farm buildings as needed.
